Seminars and Workshops

SCORE offers low-cost business training workshops and seminars for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs. In addition to being a learning experience, workshops also offer an opportunity to interact with other local small business owners, or prospective business owners.

		Workshops are limited to 20 participants. The charge is $30 for individuals and $45 for couples.

		Workshops are generally held in the SCORE office in Lebanon from 6 until 9 pm.

In addition to special workshops, we offer a ongoing series of interest to current or prospective small business owners:

		So You Want to Own Your Own Business Based on material prepared by Entrepreneur Magazine this workshop covers the basic elements that one must consider in starting a business. A primer on developing and managing any new business, this key workshop provides critical materials and a step-by-step process for developing a workable business plan - this is important for all small businesses, and essential when bank or other third party financing is being sought. The format is a combination of presentations and discussion. Meeting your peers is an added benefit.
		Business Bookkeeping Prepared by experts in a language the small business person can understand, this workshop will teach you a straightforward way to keep score with respect to the financial performance and condition of your business.
		Selling and Advertising This workshop covers what you need to know about selling and advertising products and services. It does so by stimulating your thinking about the marketing effort required for any business to be successful and by introducing you to real business situations in which you decide what to do.
